Video captures moment of plane crash in South Korea

A video of a plane crash in South Korea has surfaced. The video was published by Reuters.

The news agency noted that the 52-second video was obtained courtesy of a person named Lee Geun-young.

The video shows the plane landing at the airport, moving forward at high speed along the runway. At this time, no landing gear was visible on the plane.

At one point, the plane hit a wall at the end of the runway and hit it with great speed. Immediately, there was a huge explosion. A large plume of fire rose into the sky. Later, a coil of black smoke began to rise.

South Korea's Yonhap News Agency, citing airport authorities, said the bird strike may have caused the plane's landing gear to malfunction.

The plane crashed at Muan International Airport in southern South Korea on Sunday morning. The Jeju Air passenger plane crashed on the runway while landing at the airport.

South Korean media reported that there were 175 passengers and 6 crew members on board the plane. So far, 124 people have been reported dead. Two have been rescued alive.
